I did this piece when both the model and I, Marina, were very down.

I was quite hesitant about showing it and didn't for a full two years after its completion.

There was a deal of interest as soon as i did, though, and I sold it almost immediately.

I have always trried to live by the Emerson maxim:

"Trust thyself, every heart vibrates to that iron string."

And I try and live like this, but not when my lack of confidence assails me...
