Momentum -the force with wchich a body moves.

The model for this piece was my friend and ex-girlfriend, Marina. She was going through a very difficult time in her life and in many ways the narrative of this piece is a metaphor.

She had broken up with her partener and was raising her son Austin on her own, at the same time as dealing with very serious depression. She is a credit to motherhood despite her difficulties.

I felt that she - well she was facing the storm on her own.

And beating it.

If I remember correctly I was the one who bought her that dress and made her wear it. She is very beautiful but likes to wear very plain clothes - now she does it whenever I see her just to annoy me.
