I recently noted that the rope from the ship to the guys pulling the ship
doesn't actually exist in this shot. Oops. It does in the painting; along
with some quite funky seals and some dolphins... no ok I didn't mean the
part about seals and dolphins. There is more decoration on the boat though
and I think I managed to squeeze in FOURTH horizon.
I named this piece Marina's gift partially because I based the figure
on my ex-lover, confidente and good friend, Marina (I made it up but it
looks like her) and partially because I could base it on her. She has
given me so much in my life and I think it was the least I could do to
name something after her. Besides that, ,this piece has always been one
of her favourites.
This
was written by a freind of mine but I think it rocks. She has bipolar
just like me. I want to sleep with her but she lives in Canada.
"Can
I talk to the WendigoEater? Will she come out?"
I look at him sideways. "What? Do you think I have multiple
personalities?"
"Well, is that not what you have indicated to me?"
"Not in the slightest. WendigoEater doesn't need to talk to you.
There is no anger here or need to protect the body and mind.
Why would you want to talk to her?"
"Because you are a stupid little girl and I want to talk to an adult."
"Don't play with me. I am not nearly as ignorant, nor as pathetic
as you. I have no reason to bring her out. And you don't want her
out, trust me. She would devour you like a python would a
mouse."
"So who am I talking to now?"
"Sweet fuck. What does your bloody chart say?"
"I don't understand this entire alter thing with you."
"I am not sure what is so difficult to understand. I gain a focused
state of mind, bring out a part of my self that is needed at the
time. A personified emotion. Doesn't everyone do that?"
"Most people are more together."
"Most people are more careless."
"Could you not smoke in this office?"
"I could."
"Would you?"
"No. If you don't want smoke in here ask me to leave."
"There is a law against smoking in here. It's a government
building."
"I am sure the police will be greatly concerned."
"I think I AM talking to the WendigoEater."
"I think you think very little."
"Is there a need for you to be hostile?"
"I am not hostile. I am honest and straightforward. Is there a
need for me to even be here?"
"Aside from you being a danger to yourself?"
"The last person I am a danger to is my Self."
"Those cuts look dangerous."
"These cuts feel good. Danger to me would be to my life, not to
the upper layers of my flesh."
"Why do you cut yourself?"
"Why don't you you cut yourself?"
"I am not the one who needs to be asked questions."
"I think you are. Why do you think I am the abnormal one? What
sort of 'normality' test do you have? What IS normal?"
"I would suspect normal is happy and healthy."
"I am often happy and healthy. In my opinion unhealthy is a
plateau of a single emotion, a constant state of ignorance. .
What does that feel like?"
