For this piece, ,I took two images of Kirsty (my beautiful friend and most common model) and then put them together in paint.

They represent two sides to her personality, I suppose. She had a very difficult year last year, and one of the things she did was to die her naturally blonde hair dark.Since then, though this year has had its own difficulties, she has in many ways changed and recovered. And she is back to blonde.

She faces the storm as both, but one side is so much stronger than the otter.

I did this piece as a commission for a lovely couple - it ends up as part of a trilogy including In Viva and Patience. This is the final of the three, some kind of resolution in it, I think.
