Well Denise was incredibly hot - I drew this piece of her from life in her living room. There was actually a cat sitting on the couch too; which I wanted to add but didn't have time during the pose.

I looked on the web for pictures of CATS to try and find one from the right angle, but gave up as I realised the unlikelihood of finding one. Don't get me wrong. I love cats. Well one in particular, mine, Nell Schroedinger (so named for the Schroedinger quantum mechanics experiment where the cat is both alive and dead at the same time. Not a reference to an undead cat even though it sounds like it, hah.)

My cat is the BEST CAT IN THE WORLD. She ROCKS and keeps me company in the long night. I live by myself and having a companion helps me in the vicissitudes of madness and loneliness and sanity and paint. I sold this piece the day I showed it for the first time at gallery 274, which now no longer exists.

I got a crap price for it because I was feeling insecure. This happens a lot. But considering it only took me an hour and a half and I got $400 it doesn't seem that bad retrospectively. I guess. Hm.

Also the whole thing with Denise was probably one of the most erotic experiences of my life. Sigh. Ah. Warm glow of memory. (Nell the cat is now dead... the cat is dead! Long live the cat!).
