Well here, I did a big cool sky and then tried to work out what to put in the bottom part.

I got Kirsty (my lovely ex-partner and most frequently painted model) to lie down on the grass reading a book... (she had died her hair from natural blonde LIKE A DAMNED FOOL - hence the different hair colour to other paintings of her. Yes well.)

I drew her. I particularly like her shoes. They are pretty hard to see in this shot though. Sigh.

I entered this piece, with two otters, into the Kalgoorlie art prize.

I had a big price on this one and a lot less on the otters. They rang me up to let me know that I had sold one of them.

I was so scattered and busy and mad at the time that I could not remember which one was which - I have never been good at titular consistency. I was deesperate for money and was praying that this one had sold, being the most expensive. What made it worse was that it took the bastards 2 MONTHS to send me the cheque. I nearly ended up in court for overdue bills. Gah. It was the most expensive one, after all.
