| This piece is the 2nd version of cloudstudy I, which I had painted several years ago and was one of my first experiences with getting excited about clouds. An American friend from online was interested in the original so I looked around for it. It had of course disappeared in the same way perhaps as my self-respect and love of life did a few years ago. I lost a lot of stuff over the years. Mainly clothes, money, a couple of cars, a driver's license, friends, a fair bit of weight...Right well she was pretty keen, specifically on that piece, so she commissioned me to do another one for her. I just finished it - I had been waiting for some more BLUE normally quite important when painting sky and water; not always of course. It is the first landscape I have done for a long while without a figure in it looking overwhelmed but distracted. I think I did a much better job this time and I hope she is happy with it. I hope she is happy in general as she is really pretty cool.I am going to make it to America one day as soon as they pass some reasonable gun laws and start spelling everything correctly and stop using imperial measurements. Not too much too ask really. (She never got around to finishing the transaction - being bipolar herself it probably disappeared amidst the chaos of the rest of her life. My sort of ex-girlfriend Lisa has it now. She never paid for it though she thinks she did.)
