I am mostly deeply disinterested in painting flowers or anything furry or trees, normally.

Not that I have anything against these subjects.The trees I painted a lot of at one time. They are really very complicated and take up a lot of green paint. For a while I tried to work out what the Australian public buys and paint that. It seemed to me that most purchases were of either French Impressionist prints or alternately of Australian landscapes. SO I painted French impressionist Australian landscapes. I did sell them, but they engender none of the enthusiasm that the work that I want to do sometimes produces.

This piece was done by request for a friend who I haven't seen in a long time now.
