| I painted this piece as fast as I possibly could and then forced myself to ignore the urges to make it sharper and less impressionist. Cuz I hate those guys. No… not really… just seem one too many Monet prints I suppose. I think Degas was very good, I DO. And Manet. It’s just that Turner kind of started the whole thing a LOT earlier and this seems to be largely ignored along with the fact that when the impressionists started I believe that it was soon after seeing some of Turner’s work in London. And he went further than they did. | ||||
